Brief: A contemporary garden design in South Liverpool.

Our clients approached us after moving into a new build property with a clear brief to transform an empty, overlooked garden into a welcoming sanctuary.
The scheme includes two luxurious terraces on separate levels that create a flow as you transition though the space and provide interest using texture and shadow.

A sunken seating area creates an inviting and private space, anchored by a bespoke concrete fire table. A raised terrace featuring an outdoor kitchen and dining area is sheltered by a bioclimatic pergola, ensuring year-round warmth and usability.

To create striking focal points, we utilised rammed earth feature walls as backdrops adjacent to the pergola and a bespoke water feature with a water bowl. To soften the hard landscaping, we employed a naturalistic planting scheme rich in form, colour, and texture. Clay paver-clad retaining walls flank deep borders, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Pleached hornbeam trees provide essential privacy from rear properties, while ivy screens offer a lush green foil. Large sculptural pots serve as key focal points throughout the space.

The design philosophy extends to the front garden, where large stepping stones and a floating-effect stone step create an elegant, stylish entrance.
