Brief: This modern garden design in Macclesfield transforms a compact new build garden into a stylish and functional extension of the home.

A level threshold blurs the boundary between indoors and out, creating a fluid connection to the interior. A bespoke timber-built corner sofa, complete with custom outdoor cushions and built-in storage, surrounds a central bespoke concrete gas fire table, offering both warmth and a striking industrial style focal point.

Opposite, a luxurious bioclimatic pergola with louvred blades and drop down sides, supplied by Skye Outdoor Living, shelters a fully equipped outdoor kitchen and dining area. This beautiful space allows the homeowners to enjoy the garden while remaining protected from the elements all year round.

A lush green living wall provides a dramatic backdrop to the dining zone, softening the hard landscaping and bringing vertical interest and texture. A mirror feature wall positioned behind the raised planting beds adds depth and reflects greenery, giving the illusion of a more expansive garden.

The paving uses textural contrasts to create a subtle drama, displaying beautiful movement and fossils in the German Limestone to the warm tones and industrial texture of the clay pavers, both supplied by London Stone.

The planting scheme embraces a modern, naturalistic style with a calming palette of pale blues, purples and whites along with evergreens and  grasses that provide year-round interest. Pleached trees and cedar slatted screening elevate the boundaries, enhancing privacy while adding a sleek, luxurious finish.
